The number of visits of motionsound.com increased rapidly during the past months and meanwhile our website has reached better usage figures than many commercially oriented offers. This is the reason why the demand for adding and modifying entries rose significantly, a fact that led to some delays an we apologize for any inconvenience. We took the measures mentioned below to improve the situation:

New form of organization 

motionsound.com has been organized as a student program so far. As of January 1, 2002 we will replace this by a new form of organization with a clear legal status (e.g. association, co-operative or similar). Moreover, we are going to double our updating capacity by the end of 2001.

New mode for adding and modifying entries

The base offer of motionsound.com is and will remain free of charge. We limited the free services at the occasion of our founding in order to guarantee equal conditions for the users. Later on, we were able to extend the free offer step by step (cf. Terms as of March 31, 2000 and animation as of June 2001). We kindly ask you to consider the conditions, in particular the maximum number of free updates of a page per year. Of course, more frequent updates are possible, but we will have to charge for that.

We can process new entries and changes of existing pages within hours or just a few days, provided you e-mail the data (text and images). Give us several weeks if we have to type handwritten text or to scan pictures.

New functions and new design

We often get inquiries such as "Who offers hip-hop classes in Basel?". Thus, the implementation of a search function has a very high priority. In addition, we work on options that will allow users to modify their pages themselves and to make entries in the event or workshop directories.

As a non-profit organization with limited funds we have to work with very clear priorities. So far the major part of the resources was allocated to updating content and marketing communications. As soon as the measures mentioned above will be implemented we will improve the design of motionsound.com.
